Overview
The Convent of Agios Minas is a 15th-century monastery located in the village of Vavla. It is a blend of Byzantine and Gothic architecture and includes a church, cloisters, and other monastic buildings. The walls of the convent display two large icons from 1757 of Saint George and Saint Minas. Along with their religious obligations, the nuns residing at the convent also engage in icon painting and the cultivation and sale of fruit and homemade preserves.
