Overview

At the beginning of 2015 the construction of the chapel dedicated to Saint Timothy and Saint Mavra was completed. The chapel is located next to the ruins of the preexisting chapel dedicated to Agia Mavra, as well as in the forest area called "the path of Snake". According to tradition, this path was walked under the escort of St. Heraclides by the apostles Paul, Mark and Barnabas. It is also believed that this path was also walked by St. John the Lampadist, during his practice in the 10th century.
