Overview

The oenological center was created in 2008 using European funding for the purpose of promoting the local wine and wineries. Inside, in the first room of the 1st floor, one can find detailed maps of the "wine routes" of Cyprus. On the maps one can see the villages that the routes pass, along with all the Wineries, Wine Centers, Zivania Centers and traditional wine presses that have been conserved for the purpose of educating and showcasing newer generations the methods and tools used by the Cyprus ancestor's in their wine production. The routes shown include the: Pitsilia Route Krasochoria Route Koummandaria route. In the second room of the first floor there is a Wine Gala featuring local wines where you can sample, appreciate and buy local wines. On the ground floor of the Center, one can find a meeting room and a large, detailed, map painted on the wall featuring all of the troodos mountain range, with legends for every local product (like wines and agricultural products), sightings, both natural and manmade and also roads. At the oenological center one can also find a spa where various services can be had, including a famous "wine therapy" massage.
